Des élèves du Collège Paul Doumer ont participé au Festival 2017. Ils nous donnent ci-dessous leurs impressions sur le documentaire Project Nim qu'ils ont vu lors d'une séance 'spéciale scolaires'
The 3eme
students and English teachers from the Paul Doumer collège would like to thank
the Polyglotte association and the volunteers from the Paradiso cinema in Nort
s/Erdre for their participation in the 2017 Polyglotte Festival.
The 3A and 3B students
have expressed their reactions about the documentary "Project Nim".
It was the first time I saw a
documentary of this type. In general I like documentaries about animals but
this one is less boring.
It was funny to communicate with the
chimpanzee !
I like this documentary because there
are always emotions between the family and the chimpanzee.
It was boring and sad to see the
violence against the chimpanzee. I don't like violence and when I saw that I
was scared.
The film is interesting because it shows
how the scientists study language with animals.
It would be great if we could sign with
animals, we could exchange know-how !
It was not right to take her baby from
the chimpanzee mother !
What the humans did to this chimpanzee
is unfair !
An animal is not an object or a human
toy !
This documentary shows that it is
dangerous to have a chimpanzee in our house !
It is sad because at the end Nim was
closed in a cage.
It is sad because Nim was alone and I
suppose it is hard to live alone. At the end of the film we can see the damages
humans have caused in the name of science.
The humans should not try their
experiments on animals.
We see the hell of experiences on
animals. Thus it opens our minds.
At first the documentary made me
happy : Nim looked like he was having fun. But then, when Nim bit the
woman's face and when he was used for medical tests, it made me sad. I actually
cried. The movie was really well done.
The humans were guilty of naivety
because they did not think about the problems.
Animals and humans have their own
language. Why change that ? If everybody could speak like us the world
would be weird. Nim was happy with his chimpanzee family. To conclude we should
respect the rights of animals.
